Computers

Can someone post what you can shut down in your processes, or what you must leave running to improve your game play. So as to increase your ping/stop lag?

These are the processes I leave running. All other processes should be cut off by clicking "end process"

click start click run click services.msc and close down things you dont need from there - e.g wireless. put them in manual mode

to stop lag... make sure your fps doesnt vary, cap it so it doesnt move around much. if your computers struggling to reach a better fps it can affect your ping

the biggest one which lets a LOT of people down is their mouse acceleration. Windows XP includes mouse acceleration by default, which means moving your mouse a certain distance can vary how much you move on screen. It may not be much but its enough to miss a vital headshot. You can stop that happening by using the following program

Its removable, if you dont like the effect (it will make your mouse feel a little slower - you can adjust your sensitivity to compensate) just run the program again
